RELATED: Reggie Says Switch Was ‘Make or Break’ Console for Nintendo

Among the other highlights, Disrupting the Game: From the Bronx to the Top of Nintendo will apparently go over Reggie’s leadership style, perseverance, his approach to happiness, how to dominate the business world, being brave in the industry when others don’t agree, how to create a vision, how to be creative, and more. The book will likely be heavy on Nintendo content, but that doesn’t appear to be the only focus. Reggie has joined boards and found new work post-Nintendo retirement, and before Nintendo, he worked for companies like Pizza Hut and even raised $35 million for disaster relief after the September 11, 2001 attacks while with VH1.

Reggie Fils-Aime joined Nintendo in 2003. Although the GameCube is remembered fondly, he took over during a difficult time for the company and helped stabilize it, as well as transition it to monstrous success with the Nintendo Wii. He took over as President of Nintendo of America in 2006 and became the face of the company in many ways, along with Shigeru Miyamoto and the late Satoru Iwata. Reggie was a presence on the E3 stage, often showing off the next big thing, whether that would be a success or not. Reggie was ready when showcasing the Wii Balance Board, the Nintendo DS, Game Boy Micro, Wii U, and others. He rode off into the sunset with the triumphant Switch, and now his book appears to explain much of how all of that came to be.
