Lots of games might drop interesting trailers and teasers at the Xbox and Bethesda game showcase, but Redfall in particular seems like it could have an explosive impact on the show. Between the sheer amount of Redfall content that Arkane has left to reveal, the need to gather new fans ahead of release, and the importance of locking down Redfall’s release date, the game can stand to gain a lot from this presentation. Even though the likes of Starfield are bound to define the upcoming presentation, Redfall seems like it could be a surprise hit even among tons of other big games.

Redfall’s Showcase Reveal Opportunities

Obvious a Redfall trailer during the Xbox and Bethesda showcase needs to include some proper Redfall gameplay. Arkane has promised fans intense vampire hunting action powered by unique weapons and colorful characters, but fans have yet to get an official look at what Redfall gameplay actually looks like. In a time when Left 4 Dead inspired shooters are all the rage, fans are eager to know how Redfall makes itself special and what innovations they can look forward to. A lengthy Redfall presentation that’s packed with explanations about everything from equipment systems to vampire types would be perfect.

The showcase is also the perfect opportunity to reveal a release date for Redfall. If Arkane presents its next game during the upcoming showcase, there’ll almost certainly be information about the release timing, since it’s meant to launch this summer. A recent rumor suggested that Redfall might get delayed out of summer 2022, but so far, Arkane and Bethesda have stood their ground. It would make sense if a trailer during the showcase confirmed a delayed date for Redfall’s release, but it’s also entirely possible that Redfall will commit to its longtime summer window during the showcase. Summer would be a great season for Redfall to release, so hopefully it manages to meet that deadline.

The Impending Release of Redfall

Beyond content reveal possibilities, Redfall seems like it’ll probably have a big impact on the Xbox and Bethesda showcase because it’s seemingly so close to release. Microsoft has lots of other possible big hits in the works, such as Fable and Avowed, but many of these games don’t seem like they’ll release this year. Games like Fable could get gameplay reveals, but because Redfall seemingly plans to release within a few months, it has cause to get priority during the showcase. More time could be committed to Redfall than other games in order to ensure that all of its details get covered; in other words, Microsoft wants potential fans to see lots of selling points.

All in all, Redfall has a good chance of being a showstopper at the upcoming event. It’ll definitely have a lot of competition there, of course; Starfield will likely take up lots of time, and current games like Halo Infinite might try to steal the show from Arkane’s game. Nevertheless, Redfall has all the right components to be a foundational game at the upcoming showcase. A major Redfall presentation is exactly what fans want after going so long without updates, and this is the perfect opportunity for such a presentation. Hopefully Arkane has big plans in store.
