As seen in the video below courtesy of the YouTuber known as RenkaWong, the PS4 theme for Red Dead Redemption 2 redesigns one’s home screen UI and icons to resemble the promotional art style Rockstar has used to market the open world title. In addition to the artwork, the free theme also has its own song that plays when applied, with the music acting as a perfect segue to those who decide to boot up RDR2.

Those who wish to obtain the free Red Dead Redemption 2 theme for PS4 would do well to download it from the PlayStation Store right here. Should one wish to get the theme directly through the PS4 console itself, head on over to the PlayStation Store from the system’s home screen, go to Free Themes, and then sort by “Newest First”. After that, it should be one of, if not the first item to show up.

Of course, the aforementioned Red Dead Redemption 2 theme isn’t the only item related to the game that’s being given to players on Sony’s current generation console. Rockstar has also decided to provide those who pre-ordered the game on PS4 early access to certain content before fans on Xbox One. With this being the case, RDR2 players on Xbox One will have to wait 30 days until the items come to them.

All things considered, while Red Dead Redemption 2 players on PlayStation 4 have been able to take advantage of the free theme and timed-exclusive materials, at least Xbox One fans aren’t suffering the same fate as PC gamers. Rockstar has yet to confirm that RDR2 will be coming to personal computers, but hopefully PC fans will get to experience the open world epic for themselves in the future.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
