Today Rockstar Games confirmed what’s presumed to be all of the new content planned for Red Dead Redemption 2’s story mode. There’s a variety of new content to discover, earn, claim, or encounter, but the new content notably lacks actual story-based content. It’s story mode content, but with no actual story. So unless Rockstar has a surprise in store, Red Dead Redemption 2 players moving to PC shouldn’t expect any new lines of dialogue or campaign missions.

What Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC will offer that’s new includes: 3 new Bounty Hunter Missions, 2 new Gang Hideouts, 2 new Treasure Maps, the new mission “To the Ends of the Earth,” 4 new weapons, 4 new horses and 3 new wild horse variations, plus 5 new trinkets to collect. This content will presumably all be integrated into the open world of Red Dead Redemption 2 naturally. There will be no need to download it as DLC separately.

The 3 new Bounty Hunter missions are the most akin to new story content. The first mission has the player tracking down Herman Zizendorf, who has been stealing tools from tradesmen. The second mission targets ex-Confederate cavalry officer Camille de Millemont, though he’s protected by his “loyal men.” And the third mission hunts down Bart Cavanaugh, who is camping in Big Valley with his gang. It’s possible that there might at least be some small amount of world-building in these missions.

In addition to the new content for Red Dead Redemption 2’s story mode, Rockstar also released a variety of other news today. Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC minimum and recommended specifications were announced, confirming that buyers will need a whopping 150GB of space to install the game. Pre-purchase information, including a variety of free content included with purchase, was shared. And, as noted, there was also information about visual improvements being made to the game for its launch on PC.

It may have taken a year for Red Dead Redemption 2 to eventually be ported to PC, but patient fans are certain to be rewarded.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PS4 and Xbox One, and releases on PC November 5.
