To upgrade their satchels in Red Dead Redemption 2, players need to speak with Pearson at camp and donate perfect animal pelts to him. If players manage to donate the correct animal pelts and complete some other requirements, they will be well on their way to unlocking all of the satchel upgrades in the game.
Here are all the satchel upgrade requirements in Red Dead Redemption 2:
Ingredients Satchel (donate five carcasses to Pearson) - Deer, Badger, Squirrel Kit Satchel - Deer, Elk, Panther Materials Satchel (craft three recipes at Scout Fire) - Deer, Boar, Iguana Provisions Satchel (upgrade Provisions Wagon twice) - Deer, Bison, Raccoon Tonics Satchel - Deer, Buck, Elk Valuables Satchel - Deer, Beaver, Rabbit Legend of the East Satchel (craft every other satchel) - Deer, Cougar, Wolf
By upgrading their satchels, Red Dead Redemption 2 players will be able to greatly increase their efficiency in-game. This means that they will be able to collect and carry more items at a time without having to make constant trips to the camp tithing box or General Stores to offload their extra supplies. Plus, with a larger inventory, Red Dead Redemption 2 players will put themselves in a position to more easily win larger battles and firefights since they will have additional tonics to refill their health, stamina, and Dead Eye meters.
For these reasons, we recommend Red Dead Redemption 2 players focus on upgrading the satchels early on so that they can enjoy the benefits of the increased inventory space as they make their way through the main story missions and the massive open world.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
