Prepare And Level Up Deadeye
Before beginning the long journey of completing all of the challenges, players will want to gather all the necessary materials and weapons. Gamers will want to have the correct gun for each animal, as well as an excess of ammunition. Deadeye level four is a must not only for these challenges, but for hunting in general. The extended effect time and slowdown will make every player’s life exponentially easier in game. Gamers can also stock up on bait and cover scent, as both will be needed after the first few challenges.
Kill And Skin Three Deer
The hunter challenges begin with an extremely easy task. Gamers need to kill and skin three deer. Deer are the most common animals on the map, and the challenge does not specify a particular hunting technique. Players will not even need to preserve the quality of the pelt. Players that are having trouble with this first challenges will have a hard time completing the rest. Deer are everywhere on the outskirts of Valentine, particularly near the base of Citadel Rock.
Hunt Three Perfect Quality Rabbit Pelts
Challenge two is slightly more difficult, but it should only take a few minutes. First, players will want to equip the Varmint rifle, which will preserve each rabbit’s pelt. Moderate size animals, like the rabbit, should be killed using the Varmint rifle with standard ammunition. After killing the deer, players can ride a slight distance to the south and find wild rabbits there. Gamers should use cover scent and identify the small bunnies using binoculars. Once players spot a three-star rabbit, all they have to do is initiate deadeye and fire away.
Track Ten Animals With Binoculars
There are no secrets to completing the third challenge. All gamers need to do is pull out their binoculars and spot ten different animals. Players should ride around on their horse and look at different animals essentially anywhere on the map.
Get Five Clean Kills After Calling An Animal
The best method for completing the fourth challenge is to track animals on foot with cover scent lotion on. Horses will often make too much noise and make wild animals skittish. Gamers can hunt any animal, but deer are the easiest option in any location. Gamers should crouch, press call, and activate deadeye for a clean kill.
Skin Five Grizzly Bears Or Black Bears
Gamers should definitely look for black bears, as they are much smaller than the massive grizzlies. One of the more populous black bear locations is on either side of the Kamassa River just south of Moosey Flats. Players can ride along this area until they spot one. Eventually, the player’s horse will get spooked by one of the bears, and players can track the location of it on the map. Using a sniper and level four deadeye are crucial when completing this challenge.
Kill Five Cougars With The Bow And Skin Them
This is one of the hardest challenges players will have to complete. Gamers should search west of Strawberry, north Tall Trees, and on the northeast corner of the map for the rare creatures. It may take a lot more time to complete this task because of how difficult it is to find a cougar. The animals are extremely fast and can kill players in just one attack. Similar to the bears, horses do not like seeing cougars in the wild. The best strategy is to ride up and down these areas and wait for the horse to react. Gamers need to be ready to die at least a few times while trying to slay the cougars.
Use Bait To Kill A Predator And Herbivore
Challenge seven is much easier than tracking down the elusive cougars. Gamers need to use cover scent lotion, set the bait, and wait. It may take several minutes, but the target species will almost always turn up. Players can choose which animals to hunt, but deer and alligator are the easiest to find.
Catch Three Fish Without Using A Fishing Rod
Killing fish without a fishing rod may seem impossible, but it is actually quite simple in Red dead 2. Gamers can kill fish from any shoreline using the bow. Near every river and lake, there are a few small fish swimming along the shoreline. Players can use deadeye and catch three fish relatively quickly.
Kill An Opossum Playing Possum
Finding just one opossum is a nightmare. Gamers will likely need to spend some time trying to track down one of these small critters. It is rare to see one during the day, so players should be on the hunt for them at night. Gamers will need to apply cover scent and use eagle eye to find the critters at night. After seeing one, players need to wait for it to “play possum” before killing it. There is no exact location to find an opossum, unfortunately.
Find And Kill The Legendary Panther “Giaguaro”
Giaguaro is located southeast of Bolger Glade. Players should ride in that direction until the legendary notification appears. Next, gamers can use eagle eye for clues to track down the panther.
