The extensive character creation options presented by Rockstar Games in Red Dead Online have led to a plethora of amazing creations. From the Mario Brothers to Michael Jackson, Red Dead Online’s extensive character customization has lent itself to a number of creative and unique creations. Recently, one Reddit user used the game’s creation to bring the head of “America’s favorite family,” Homer Simpson, into the Old West.

Reddit user HeySoloSoYo used the extensive options in Red Dead Online’s creation engine to re-create Homer Simpson in all his larger-than-life glory. The game’s character customization didn’t quite allow for the same yellow-tinted skin The Simpsons is famous for, but the rest of the look is as spot-on as one can get. Right down to the beer belly and signature white collared shirt and blue pants, everything about this re-creation looks like it was pulled straight out of Springfield.
HeySoloSoYo shows off a number of different looks for Homer Simpson within the post, ranging from his iconic buttoned-up look to a blue nightgown mimicking Homer’s teal pajamas often seen within the show. One screenshot even shows the Homer look-a-like without a shirt on, letting the character’s beer belly hang out in all its glory. Of course, many of the screenshots of this marvelous re-creation feature Homer holding a beer or taking a swig from it. Even in the Old West, Homer always has a beer in hand.
Homer and the rest of the Simpson family may have been absent from video games for a number of years, but creations like this show the gaming world definitely has a special place for The Simpsons. Recently, a study conducted by GAME listed The Simpsons Hit and Run as the game fans wanted a remaster of the most.
Homer’s ride into New Austin is only the latest in a long series of inventive and unique creations from the Red Dead Online community. Characters like Omni-Man from Invincible and Breaking Bad’s Walter White have been brought to life, showing off the game’s deep options for crafting characters. So, until fans see a new Simpsons game, maybe the rest of Springfield will go for a vacation to the Old West with Homer.
