Rockstar is calling the care package the Bounty Hunter’s Kit. The package includes a free Bounty Hunter License for every player who hasn’t already purchased one and can be picked up from the in-game Bounty Board. To help newly licensed bounty hunters along, there’s also a free cache of thrown weapons available. All Red Dead Online players can get 25 bolas and 25 tracking arrows entirely free from the in-game camp lockbox or a post office.

There is an assortment of other free rewards that have also been made available as part of the celebration, but they’re exclusive to certain subsets of players. PlayStation Plus subscribers are being rewarded with three free mash refills for their Moonshiner outfits and three free trader resupplies. Meanwhile, Twitch Prime subscribers who link their Rockstar accounts can claim a free Collector’s Bag, as well as a Polished Copper Still upgrade.

While not free gifts, Rockstar also has a variety of discounts that will last for the duration of the celebration event. Red Dead Online players will receive discounts of 25% off for all Stable Slots, 40% off of Breton, Kladruber, Criollo, and Norfolk Roadster Horses, and 40% off a handful of emotes, too. It’s not much, but every little bit helps.

The Rockstar “Special Celebration” event will last between February 4 and February 10. Players just have to log into Red Dead Online and claim the rewards from their respective locations, though after February 10 the rewards will no longer be available to claim. Red Dead Redemption 2 reached a peak of players in December and it’s clear that Rockstar plans to make sure that 2020 continues to build on that success. Stay tuned for more Red Dead Online events in the relatively near future.

Red Dead Online is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
