The reference refers to “rustling_owner_dead” and a string of text that reads “This ranch has been abandoned by its owners. Come back later.” Obviously, that’s not a persuasive piece of evidence regarding a future content update, but it’s enough to stir up some speculation....

Red Dead Online is the online multiplayer component of Red Dead Redemption 2, and many players have picked it up and played it over the years. Unfortunately, despite it being a newer game than Grand Theft Auto 5, Red Dead Online’s community has voiced that they feel the game has been largely neglected over the years, seeing less new content and fewer updates coming to the title than GTA Online....

Previous gameplay additions for Red Dead Online have focused on adding new jobs and roles for players to step into, like allowing players to brew their own moonshine. However, many Red Dead Online players have many improvements that they are hoping Rockstar will add to the game. The new update looks like it will answer one of these requests, which is to give players more to do in the game world....

Tributes to Red Dead Redemption 2 characters are nothing new. Some fans have made custom LEGO figures for Arthur and recreated his journal, while others designed mods dedicated to beating up Micah. Paintings of John Marston have been shared, as have posts debating Dutch Van Der Linde’s logic. Now, one fan of the beloved 2018 release has showcased a collection of artwork that pays tribute to all four of these characters....

However, when a game glitches, anything is fair game. In this particular Red Dead Redemption 2 glitch, a player was startled to discover that Uncle had abruptly lost his beard. As may know, Assassin’s Creed is expected to have a new release in 2020 that takes players back to the Viking Era. Most of the information surrounding the game can be chalked up to hearsay and rumor, but if there’s one thing that’s practically guaranteed, it’s that setting. That wasn’t always seemingly the case, though, as this particular trilogy has been teased since Assassin’s Creed 3. In that game, images teased a Egypt, Greece, and Japan setting—but clearly something’s amiss....

Alongside fishing, gambling, and taking a bath once in a while, Red Dead Redemption 2 players can also go out hunting if they wish, taking down all sorts of animals from small rabbits to giant bison in order to harvest them for meat and crafting improvements. Alongside tracking and taking down regular animals, there are also legendary hunts in Red Dead Redemption 2, where a player must deal with a much more dangerous animal....

The catfish’s model was found in the files of the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2, and actually has two models instead of one. One is larger, while another is mysteriously smaller. The large model certainly fits the legend of the Channel Catfish, which is supposed to be 180 lbs. It’s large and pink, which may not fit the description in-game, but is nevertheless quite intimidating. However, the fish very much is not a finished model, as its neck is malformed and much of its textures are unfinished....

While Rockstar paid homage to Western movies in the heavily praised story of Red Dead Redemption 2, one player has made a film of their own using nothing but clips of Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay and original voice work. Created by Harrison Wade Reishman, the film is titled “Ida B. Wells: A Red Record.” Focusing on the highly influential work of the NAACP founder mentioned in the title, the impressive film serves as a great history lesson for gamers....

Father roles have always been important in the franchise, with perhaps Red Dead Redemption 2 highlighting this more eloquently. In the first game, John struggles to relate to Jack somewhat but manages to teach him valuable lessons. John’s entire adventure in the first game is to save his family after all, with Jack’s storyline about avenger his father and past life. Chronologically, though, this was explored far sooner. According to a local Montana news report, Rockstar Games is still conducting filming for Red Dead Redemption 2. A team headed up by Los Angeles, California based producer Jeff Guillot recently headed to the Mni-Sda (Still Water) Presbyterian Church (known as the Chelsea Church) in northeastern Montana to film promotion for a “sequel to an existing global franchise.” Although Guillot didn’t state the name of the game, the crew did say that it features an open-world, takes place in a fictional rural area, is set to release this year and features prairie locations....

Players join up and select from 3 classes (sharpshooter, outlaw or fast hands), and duel opponents to level up. You have different attributes, like Attack, Dodge, Health and Stamina to work on (unless you like dying a lot!). Notably, the duels use in-game videos, and it was pretty awesome to watch the duels occur (as you level up, you tend to get a few more shots off than you could before, and get to watch them hit in their gory glory)....

Rockstar Games, developer of the Red Dead franchise, does have a film subsidiary in its name. But apart from the short film Red Dead Redemption: The Man From Blackwater, which was produced in order to promote the first game, no further plans for a feature film adaptation have been made. The CEO of parent company Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, made a statement back in 2016 that the company was hesitant to develop their original games into movies because the films could end up hurting the reputation of the games....

One of the first notable maps to be put together using the tool takes inspiration from a franchise that’s a long way from the sci-fi stylings of Halo. Anyone who’s familiar with the cult classic Banjo Kazooie will no doubt recognize the Forge recreation of Spiral Mountain. The map was created by a Reddit user called llamajuice — and it’s apparently not the first time these two franchises have been mixed together....
